Cam’ron has recounted an unusual alleged incident involving the late rapper DMX, saying DMX arranged for his dog to fight a raccoon behind a Connecticut hotel. The story has drawn attention because it offers a vivid personal recollection of DMX, while also raising animal-welfare concerns; Billboard noted that it does not endorse animal fighting.

Cam’ron said the incident supposedly occurred while he was filming Paid in Full and DMX was working on Cradle 2 the Grave with Jet Li, with both staying at the same hotel. He said DMX invited him to the back of the hotel at 7.30pm to watch the fight, which Cam’ron missed, and later told him that the dog had won easily. Cam’ron described it as the most memorable of his stories about DMX.
