Paul Mazurkiewicz, drummer of long-running American death metal band Cannibal Corpse, has acknowledged that touring has become considerably less exhilarating with age. Whilst the band remains committed to performing for their fanbase, Mazurkiewicz candidly admitted that the physical and emotional demands of life on the road have intensified as the group has matured over nearly four decades.

Mazurkiewicz described the challenges of touring as involving extended periods away from home and family, combined with the close quarters of living on a tour bus with approximately 10 band members. To manage these hardships, he maintains a strict regimen of proper nutrition, hydration, adequate sleep and daily walks for exercise and mental wellbeing. The musician noted that touring frequency has also decreased, which he welcomed, and highlighted how weather conditions—particularly winter tours requiring bundling up in snow or rain—can further limit opportunities for outdoor recreation and stress relief during tours.
