Cardiff can reach Championship play-offs – Bielik
Cardiff City defender Krystian Bielik, who joined the club from West Brom last week, believes the Bluebirds can reach the Championship play-offs this season. The 28-year-old made his debut in a 2-2 draw with Sheffield United and said Cardiff, who have drawn three of their opening league fixtures since promotion, could beat any side in the division if they tighten up at both ends of the pitch.
Bielik, an 11-cap Poland international who came through Legia Warsaw before joining Arsenal as a teenager, said his target for Cardiff is a top-half finish with a genuine shot at the play-offs, calling it "100 per cent" achievable if the team becomes more clinical in front of goal and more solid defensively. Cardiff, seeking their first league win since promotion, travel to face unbeaten QPR at Loftus Road on Wednesday 2 September (19:45 BST), with Bielik praising the manager's approach and the quality of the club's attacking options.
