Arizona Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur has defended Marvin Harrison Jr. after viral clips prompted questions about the receiver’s effort and route running. Harrison has made just one catch for 33 yards in two games, including a scoreless outing in Arizona’s 31-7 defeat by Seattle, intensifying scrutiny over the highly rated 2024 fourth overall pick.

Harrison’s progress was already affected by injuries last season, when he played 12 games and recorded 604 yards and four touchdowns. LaFleur said Harrison’s distinctive running style should not be mistaken for poor effort, while acknowledging the Cardinals must involve him alongside established contributors such as Trey McBride, Michael Wilson and Kendrick Bourne within a limited number of offensive plays.
