Carson Daly has moved to reassure fans that he is not leaving NBC's The Voice, after the announcement of a celebrity spin-off with Keke Palmer as host prompted speculation about his future. Daly, who has hosted the main singing competition for 30 seasons and 16 years, took to Instagram to clarify that he remains the current host of the flagship show and will only step back from presenting duties on the new spin-off, taking a producing role there instead.

The Voice: Celebrity, announced by NBC earlier this week, will see Palmer host a new format in which famous faces including actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians and reality stars compete in blind auditions, rather than undiscovered singers. The coaching panel will feature Joe Jonas, Queen Latifah and Riley Green. Daly praised Palmer as "the triple threat queen" and said he was grateful she had made time for the project, adding that both formats would run this autumn and spring to see how they fare, with him producing the celebrity edition from behind the scenes.
