## Key points

- Carson Daly will co-host Saturday Today with Laura Jarrett.
- He remains on weekday Today and The Voice.
- The role follows Peter Alexander’s departure from NBC.

## Summary

Carson Daly is expanding his role on NBC’s Today, joining Laura Jarrett as co-host of Saturday Today while continuing his weekday duties. The move fills the position left by Peter Alexander, who left NBC earlier this year for MS NOW, and adds another early start to Daly’s week.

Daly will also continue as host and executive producer of The Voice and executive producer of The Voice: Celebrity. On the weekend programme, he and Jarrett are joined by feature anchor Joe Fryer and meteorologist Angie Lassman; Matt Carluccio is executive producer of Today’s weekend editions. Daly joined Today in 2013, first hosting its Orange Room and later covering pop culture in the Pop Start segment.
