Casey Affleck has cast a starry ensemble for "Company," his first film as director since 2019's "Light of My Life" and only his third feature overall. The gothic mystery, written and directed by the "Manchester by the Sea" Oscar winner, has already finished shooting in Whistler, Canada, and brings together Nick Nolte, Adelaide Clemens, Ben Mendelsohn, Scoot McNairy, Emily Alyn Lind and Caylee Cowan, giving the project significant awards-season and industry pedigree.

Set on a winter's night in 1975, the story follows a mysterious woman, Evelyn, who arrives uninvited at a holiday gathering and recounts nested tales spanning generations, involving an ageing hermit, a stranded actress and a farming couple who take in a troubled drifter amid a spate of frontier murders. The film is a co-production between Image Nation Studios, Rabbits Black, Spooky Pictures, Artists Equity, Arcana Studio and Artemis Pictures, with AGC and Spooky Pictures handling international sales and Gersh, Cinetic and Range Select covering North America; producers include Steven Schneider and Roy Lee, with Ron Hansen co-writing the screenplay.
