CBS Officially Reveals ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ Replacement With New Vampire Sitcom
CBS has unveiled further details of Eternally Yours, a new vampire sitcom due to debut this autumn in Ghosts’ regular time slot. The programme is positioned as a potential successor for viewers missing What We Do in the Shadows, while also strengthening CBS’s comedy line-up with another supernatural workplace-and-family-style ensemble.
The series centres on vampire couple Charles and Liz, whose 500-year relationship is tested after their daughter Emma begins dating a human. Their coven includes Jesse, his half-human sons and Jesse’s elderly human mother Phyllis, played by Rose Abdoo, whose memories are repeatedly erased to conceal the vampires around her. CBS previewed the pilot at San Diego Comic-Con, where cast members and Ghosts showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman discussed the show ahead of its fall premiere.
