## Key points

- *Tracker* is a streaming hit on Paramount+.
- Its weekly cases offer a different format from *Reacher*.
- Season 4 is set to explore failure.

## Summary

The crime drama *Tracker*, led by Justin Hartley, is drawing attention on Paramount+ as a bingeable alternative for viewers waiting for *Reacher* to return. The two shows share a travelling, capable protagonist who takes on new cases across the United States, but *Tracker* uses a network procedural format, with most episodes telling a standalone story.

In its fourth season, *Tracker* follows survivalist Colter Shaw as he takes paid jobs finding missing people, supported by lawyer Reenie, researcher Bobby and his brother Russell. Russell, played by Jensen Ackles, is due to return this season. The series draws mainly on Jeffery Deaver’s Colter Shaw novels, particularly *The Never Game*, and Season 4 is set to explore failure; the article also notes that *Tracker* is among Paramount+’s Top 10.
