Celia Cruz, Gian Marco & Lupita Infante Among La Musa Awards’ 2026 Honorees
The Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame has announced its 2026 class of inductees and special honorees for the 13th annual La Musa Awards, with the late "Queen of Salsa" Celia Cruz set to receive a posthumous lifetime honour alongside Peruvian singer-songwriter Gian Marco and Mexican-American artist Lupita Infante. The recognition celebrates songwriters and producers whose work has shaped Latin music, reflecting the genre's growing global influence and the industry's efforts to formally honour its creative architects rather than just its performers.
The ceremony will be held on Wednesday 14 October at The Flamingo Theater in Miami. This year's inductees include Puerto Rican hitmaker Yoel Henríquez, Spanish singer-songwriter Danny Daniel, Colombian producer Kike Santander, Puerto Rican salsa pioneer Sergio George, regional Mexican artist Mario Quintero Lara and Gian Marco, while special awards go to Lupita Infante, Mayimba Music founder Marti Cuevas, ASCAP chief executive Beth Matthews and Cruz, who receives the Premio Legado. The red-carpet event will be hosted by actor Jason Canela and artist Moriah.
