## Summary

Céline Dion opened her 26-night Paris residency at the Plenitude Arena in Nanterre on 12 September 2026, in a show that served as her first public performance since revealing her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis and as a personal statement of recovery. She broke down in tears within minutes of walking on stage, losing her place in the lyrics of opening song "On Ne Change Pas" and telling the crowd of 30,000 that she had promised herself not to cry, before later addressing her health directly, saying "I'm doing well" and speaking of turning her fragility into strength.

The two-and-a-half-hour, 29-song set ran from stripped-back ballads to a mass singalong of "My Heart Will Go On", then swung into an unexpected dancefloor stretch blending Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" with reworked versions of her own songs and Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams". She also gave the live debut of new single "Dansons", written by Jean-Jacques Goldman, and closed with a surprise opera aria. Guests in the audience included Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Aya Nakamura and Thomas Pesquet, and organisers said more than nine million people had entered the ticket lottery; the residency, at Europe's largest indoor arena, continues into May 2027.
