Chad Hugo, formerly one half of the celebrated production duo The Neptunes, has released a new solo single titled "Jumpupw!nya," marking his first major solo output in years. The track features guest verses from rapper Tierra Whack and Brooklyn/Virginia MC Leikeli47, and is described as the start of a new creative chapter for the veteran producer.

The song's production shifts unpredictably between soaring and stripped-back passages, with Leikeli47 opening the track before Tierra Whack delivers her own animated verse. Leikeli47 said she jumped at the chance to work with Hugo given her own Brooklyn-by-way-of-Virginia roots, echoing his Virginia origins with The Neptunes. The single arrives with an accompanying music video, released alongside a press statement calling it the beginning of a "new creative era."
