Hulu has confirmed that "Chad Powers" will return for a second season, with all episodes released at once on Thursday 3 September 2026, and has also unveiled a set of first-look photos ahead of the launch. The comedy, starring Glen Powell as a college football player concealing his true identity behind an elaborate lie, became a streaming success in its debut run, and the new season arrives just days before the real 2026 college football season kicks off.

The season two synopsis reveals that suspicions about Chad grow both on and off the field, particularly from Coach Hudson (Steve Zahn) and Gerry (Colton Ryan), as the lie behind Powell's alter ego Russ threatens to unravel; Danny (Frankie Rodriguez) and Russ must turn to a reluctant Ricky (Perry Mattfeld) for help if Chad is to lead his team, the Catfish, to the College Football Playoff. The returning cast also includes Quentin Plair and Wynn Everett, with Eli and Peyton Manning among the executive producers via Omaha Productions, alongside ESPN and 20th Television.
