After more than ten years in development, the third instalment of the Jump Street comedy franchise has been officially green-lit, with stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill set to return alongside the creative teams from the previous films. The official confirmation of the project has driven significant audience interest back towards the original film, which has climbed into the top ten most-streamed titles on Paramount+ in the United States.

The original Jump Street, released in 2012, proved to be a major commercial success for the studio, grossing over $200 million worldwide from a $42 million budget. With a new director now confirmed for the upcoming instalment whilst the franchise's original producing partners remain attached, the long-stalled project appears positioned to finally move forward into production.
