Charlie Carrick Upped To Series Regular For Hulu’s ‘The Testaments’ Season 2 As Haley Wong Joins

Deadline · 3 hours ago

Hulu has upgraded Charlie Carrick to a series regular for the second season of The Testaments, its sequel series to The Handmaid's Tale, and added newcomer Haley Wong in the same capacity. Carrick continues as Commander Judd, a cold and calculating figure consolidating power within Gilead's ruling elite, while Wong joins as Prudence, a pregnant wife seeking moments of joy despite the risks involved. The casting changes signal an expanded role for both characters as the show builds on the story established in its first season.

The Testaments, based on Margaret Atwood's novel, follows teenagers Agnes and Daisy as they navigate Aunt Lydia's brutal preparatory school for future wives, with Chase Infiniti, Lucy Halliday and Ann Dowd leading the cast. The series is created by Bruce Miller and produced by MGM Television and 20th Television, with Elisabeth Moss among the executive producers. Season 1 premiered on Hulu in April, and production on Season 2 began last month. Wong, primarily a theatre actress with credits including Antigone opposite Tony Shalhoub, and Carrick, a British-Canadian actor known for The Apprentice and Alice, Darling, bring notable stage and screen experience to their expanded roles.
