Netflix is developing a new comedy series featuring actor and writer Charlie Hall, with Alec Berg serving as executive producer and supervising writer under his overall deal with the streamer. The untitled project is a fictional comedy centred on a college fraternity drug ring, loosely inspired by a real cocaine-trafficking case at Pennsylvania State University. This collaboration reunites Hall with Berg, who previously worked as a writer-producer on Hall's mother Julia Louis-Dreyfus's sitcom Seinfeld, and marks another high-profile project for Berg following his acclaimed work on HBO's Silicon Valley and Barry.

The real-world inspiration involved 14 people—current and former Penn State students plus one parent—who were charged in connection with an alleged cocaine-trafficking operation running out of the Sigma Chi and Delta Upsilon off-campus fraternity houses. Berg and Amy Solomon will executive produce via Berg's production banner. Hall is currently a series regular on Apple TV's Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, though that show's future remains uncertain, whilst he will also appear in Season 4 of Mike White's HBO series The White Lotus.
