Ella Langley's country hit "Choosin' Texas" has become the second longest-running Number One single in the history of the Billboard Hot 100, after entering its 20th week at the top. The track has now overtaken previous joint record-holders by Shaboozey and Lil Nas X, and marks the longest reign at the summit by a female country artist, underlining country music's dominant run on the US charts this year.

The song was released in October 2025 and gave Langley her first Number One in February, before surging over the summer and holding the top spot continuously since 4 July. Only Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You," with 22 weeks at Number One, has spent longer atop the chart. In early August, country acts occupied the entire top five of the Hot 100, including Langley's own collaboration with Morgan Wallen. Langley released her second album, Dandelion, in April and continues touring, with a stop in Newark, New Jersey, on 10 September.
