NME · 3 hours ago

Chris Brown and his co-defendant Omololu Akinlolu have pleaded guilty to affray over an alleged bottle attack at a London nightclub in February 2023. The plea means more serious charges, including attempted grievous bodily harm, will not proceed to trial, with sentencing set for October.

Prosecutors said Brown struck producer Abraham Diaw twice with a glass bottle at Tape London in Mayfair, before Akinlolu allegedly joined the assault; Diaw was treated in hospital for head and knee injuries. Brown was arrested in Manchester in May 2025 and later released on conditional bail after lodging £5 million security; affray carries a maximum sentence of three years.
