Chris Pratt's 2021 sci-fi film "The Tomorrow War" remains one of the most-watched titles on Amazon Prime Video across several countries, years after its release, cementing it as a lasting streaming success despite its mixed theatrical fate. The film's continued popularity comes amid a mixed 2026 for Pratt, whose sci-fi thriller "Mercy" flopped at the box office earlier this year but has since become a major streaming hit, while his voicing of Mario in "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" delivered him a $1 billion theatrical success.

"The Tomorrow War", a $200 million production written by Zach Dean and directed by Chris McKay, starred Pratt alongside Yvonne Strahovski and was originally intended for a cinema release before the COVID-19 pandemic prompted Amazon to send it straight to streaming. Elsewhere in Pratt's busy year, "Mercy" (co-starring Rebecca Ferguson) grossed just $54 million against a $120 million break-even point, "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" arrived on Peacock on 1 August following its box office run, and Pratt is tipped, though unconfirmed, to return as Star-Lord in "Avengers: Doomsday" on 18 December.
