A woman identified as Amanda McMahon, who says she had an affair with convicted killer Chris Watts before he murdered his pregnant wife and two young daughters in 2018, has spoken publicly for the first time in eight years. She gave her account to The Trial USA podcast, describing aspects of their relationship and Watts' behaviour that she says she never disclosed to police at the time.

In the interview, McMahon reportedly discusses what she called Watts' "animal mode" during sex, references explicit text messages later recovered by investigators, and recalls the way he spoke about his wife, Shanann Watts, describing his comments as obscene. Chris Watts pleaded guilty in 2018 to killing his wife and daughters, Bella and Celeste, and is serving multiple life sentences; the case has continued to draw major public interest through documentaries and podcasts.
