Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has created an Artificial Intelligence Advisory Board to help shape its curriculum, ethics and long-term strategy as AI transforms higher education. Its president, Gerson Moreno-Riaño, says the Christian university wants students to use AI wisely rather than exclude it from classrooms, with the aim of producing graduates who remain “irreplaceable” in the workplace.

The board includes specialists in philosophy, engineering, enterprise AI, theology and higher education, and is intended to provide practical external guidance. The initiative reflects wider pressure on universities to adapt teaching and graduate preparation quickly as AI becomes more common across industries.
