Anthropic has added Claude Cowork to its Claude for Chrome extension, allowing users to run the AI assistant from Chrome’s sidebar. The update matters because it makes Claude’s browser-based use more continuous: conversations are saved to history, and tasks can move between the Claude app and Chrome.

The feature is available immediately to Max and Team subscribers, with Pro access planned in the coming weeks. Users’ existing Claude skills and connectors will work in the browser, potentially enabling assistance with services lacking official integrations; Claude Code was already available through the extension, while Cowork is aimed at less technical users.
