Clutch have released “The Drifter Returns”, their first new song in four years. The riff-heavy single signals the veteran rock band’s return to new material and offers an early indication of work towards its next album.

The band had already performed the track at selected European shows earlier this year. Clutch are working with producer Gene “Machine” Freeman on their 14th studio album, following 2022’s Sunrise on Slaughter Beach, and will tour the US from 16 October in Charlotte, North Carolina, to 7 November in Norfolk, Virginia.
