The new duet is part of Amazon Music’s Holiday Originals campaign, which features recordings by several artists. Elton John has released a remake of “Step Into Christmas” with Irish artist CMAT, more than 50 years after the original.

Released in November 1973, the song reached the UK top 10 and was later added as a bonus track to John’s 1974 album *Caribou*. CMAT had hinted at the collaboration by dressing as John for Halloween; the campaign also includes covers by the Beaches and the Head and the Heart, among others.
