Netflix has added Codenames Party to its games library, expanding its range of family and group games. Subscribers can join by scanning a QR code and play on their phones, without needing extra hardware or controllers.

The game includes the familiar two-team mode, a Case Studies option with prepared word and clue sets, and a new Party Mode without teams. In Party Mode, each player gives one clue for their own eight words, chosen from 16 options; players score by guessing others’ words and having their own words identified.
