## Key points

- Three college football coaching jobs are already open.
- USC’s results could intensify scrutiny of Lincoln Riley.
- Buyout costs may limit schools’ options.

## Summary

College football’s coaching market could become much more active as three jobs are already open and several prominent coaches face scrutiny. Lincoln Riley’s position at USC may come under greater pressure if the Trojans lose to Ohio State, while financial constraints could shape whether schools make changes.

The article says USC’s next games against Ohio State, Indiana and UCLA could influence Riley’s future; his reported buyout is $70 million, though taking another job might reduce it. It also points to uncertainty at Florida State, where Mike Norvell’s reported buyout is $50 million, and mounting concerns around Deion Sanders and Colorado. Further details on the Colorado situation are cut off in the supplied article text.
