## Summary

A 19-year-old University of Colorado Boulder student was killed and another 19-year-old student was critically injured in a shooting at a Halloween house party in the University Hill neighbourhood. Police are investigating after saying a group tried to force its way into the home and shots were fired following a scuffle; the case has heightened concern across the campus community.

The party had been registered with the university and featured a live band, with hundreds attending before an earlier noise complaint led many to leave. Police say two people of interest were seen in doorbell camera footage re-entering the house, and investigators have released descriptions of them while searching for those responsible.
