## Key points

- Karen Dunbar has cancelled nearly all remaining tour dates.
- She says she was paid for five of 39 shows.
- Promoter Breakneck Comedy disputes her claim and cites rising costs.

## Summary

Comedian Karen Dunbar has cancelled nearly all of the remaining dates on her tour, saying the promoter has not paid her for most of the shows she performed. The dispute has left about 20 performances cancelled and ticket holders have been advised to seek refunds; three dates in Greenock, Peebles and Shotts are still planned under a different promoter.

Dunbar says she was paid for only five of 39 shows over the past two months and expects the dispute could end up in court. Promoter Breakneck Comedy disputes her account, saying it sought to renegotiate fees after lower than expected ticket sales and rising costs made the 60-show tour likely to lose money. It says Dunbar declined to renegotiate.
