Following the global box office success of his horror breakout 'Obsession', actor-director Curry Barker is advancing a new supernatural film through Focus Features and Blumhouse's Atomic Monster division. 'Anything But Ghosts' reunites Barker with Cooper Tomlinson, who contributed as co-writer, producer and co-star, alongside supporting players including Aaron Paul, Bryce Dallas Howard and Violet McGraw. The project centres on two fraudulent paranormal investigators whose scheme collapses upon encountering authentic supernatural phenomena.

Despite the commercial momentum from 'Obsession', Tomlinson emphasised that the production team deliberately resisted inflating the film's ambitions or scale. He highlighted the execution of technically demanding sequences—particularly a sustained single-take scene requiring Barker to manage both directorial and performance responsibilities simultaneously—whilst preserving the project's core creative vision. This calculated restraint, according to Tomlinson, served as a safeguard against diminishing the film's essential appeal through overproduction.
