Former police constable Tubah Hamid, aged 25, has been sentenced to three years in prison for corruption whilst serving with Greater Manchester Police. She developed a relationship with Mujahid Ishaq, a 26-year-old organised crime member, and systematically shared confidential police information with him, including surveillance detection advice. This case represents a serious breach of public trust, as Hamid exploited her position of authority to assist criminal activity rather than prevent it.

Between December 2021 and June 2022, Hamid provided unlawful assistance to Ishaq, conducting unauthorised searches on police systems and passing him sensitive information. She was observed meeting him on 16 June 2022 whilst claiming to be sick from work, and was present at his address during a police raid for attempted murder without disclosing her police status. Convicted in July following trial, Hamid received three years for misconduct in public office, plus four-month concurrent sentences for computer misuse and illegal prison communications. Ishaq was separately sentenced to five years and six months in May 2025 for Class A drug supply and dangerous driving.
