Country star Luke Combs has set a new attendance record at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, drawing 97,367 fans to a performance during his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour in April. The figure surpasses the previous record held by Pink Floyd, who attracted 75,245 fans to the venue in 1994. The milestone adds weight to speculation that Combs could headline the Super Bowl LXIV halftime show, given the event is due to be hosted in Nashville, a city with deep country music roots.

The concert, which took place on 25 April, also became the highest-grossing show of Combs's career, taking more than $11 million according to Touring Data. He was joined on stage by Dierks Bentley, Jake Worthington, Thelma & James and Ty Myers, alongside local figures including former Ohio State players Will Howard and Carnell Tate. Combs has said he would welcome the chance to play the halftime show if asked, though no invitation has been extended, adding that he would be glad to see any country artist — naming Garth Brooks and Morgan Wallen — take the spotlight.
