Couple desperate to conceive through IVF were delighted when wife got pregnant… only to get a VERY nasty surprise when she gave birth, lawsuit alleges

Daily Mail · 1 day ago

A Florida couple is suing their fertility clinic after discovering their newborn daughter is not biologically fathered by Joshua Strong, despite undergoing IVF treatment at Brown Fertility Associates in Jacksonville. A routine blood test revealed the baby has B-positive blood type, which is biologically impossible given that Natalie has O-negative blood and Joshua has A-negative blood. DNA testing confirmed Natalie is the biological mother but that Joshua is not the father, leading the couple to claim the clinic used the wrong sperm during the IVF process.

Joshua Strong underwent painful sperm retrieval surgery following a previous vasectomy, having paid tens of thousands of dollars for the IVF treatments. The couple created seven embryos, miscarried after the first transfer, and carried the second transfer to term, giving birth on 5 June 2025. Their negligence lawsuit seeks $50,000 in damages and demands the clinic account for Joshua's sperm and confirm it was not used elsewhere. The couple's attorney stated they hope to hold Dr Samuel Brown and his clinic accountable and prevent other families experiencing the same situation.
