Coventry City sign winger Tchaouna from Burnley
Coventry City have completed the signing of winger Loum Tchaouna from Burnley, with the transfer valued at around £20 million. The 22-year-old French international has agreed a five-year deal with the newly promoted side and will compete in the Premier League alongside other established talents. Tchaouna previously played for Rennes, Salernitana and Lazio before joining Burnley last summer, giving him substantial experience in continental football alongside his recent English top-flight exposure.
Tchaouna featured regularly for Burnley during their ultimately unsuccessful relegation campaign, making 32 appearances and scoring three goals. He expressed enthusiasm about joining Coventry and testing himself in what he described as the world's best league. The club will begin their Premier League campaign on 21 August against defending champions Arsenal, providing an early test for their new squad which includes the ambitious acquisition.
