Coyote vs. Acme, the Looney Tunes-style live-action/animation film Warner Bros. shelved in 2023 as part of a reported $30 million tax write-off, has now earned more at the box office than that write-off figure, vindicating the fan campaign that helped it reach cinemas. The studio's decision had sparked significant backlash from fans and industry figures, and after Ketchup Entertainment acquired the distribution rights, the film finally opened in theatres, giving audiences a chance to prove Warner Bros. misjudged its commercial and critical potential.

Since its release on 28 August 2026, Coyote vs. Acme has taken in more than $45.6 million worldwide, including $38.3 million domestically, with further revenue expected as it has yet to open in regions such as Oceania. The film, starring Will Forte, John Cena and Lana Condor and produced with DC Studios co-chair James Gunn attached, follows Wile E. Coyote suing the Acme Corporation over its faulty products. It has been well received, holding a 96% Certified Fresh critics' score and a 95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, alongside a 3.9-star Letterboxd rating.
