Critical Role announces exciting new tabletop adventure

Polygon · 5 hours ago

Critical Role has revealed a new tabletop tie-in adventure, Road to Nowhere, written and designed by indie TTRPG creator Jack Panic of DNGN CLUB. The zine is set within the Daggerheart system and directly connects to Critical Role's currently airing gothic-horror miniseries, Age of Umbra: Sallowlands, extending the franchise's growing catalogue of spinoff supplements and adventures.

The adventure takes place in the Sallowlands, a corrupted badlands region within the Halcyon Domain, and appears centred on the desert convoy-city of Nowhere, a moving settlement built from vehicles called Deadrigs. Wargamer, which first revealed the project, described the tone as "Mad Max meets The Phantom Menace" but gave no plot details. A physical copy will be sold for $5 at Darrington Press's Gen Con booth between 30 July and 2 August, while a free PDF version will follow on Darrington Press's website from 12 August.
