Crunchyroll And Starz Launch Bundle On Prime Video
Starz and Crunchyroll have launched a joint streaming bundle available via Amazon Prime Video in the US for $16.99 a month, marking Crunchyroll's first such US tie-up. The deal reflects a wider industry trend of streamers combining forces on shared platforms to broaden reach and offer subscribers cost savings, as both Sony-owned anime specialist Crunchyroll and premium network Starz look to expand their audiences beyond stand-alone subscriptions.
The bundle, available from Wednesday, costs 23% less than subscribing to both services separately. Crunchyroll has grown rapidly, rising from 5 million subscribers when Sony acquired it from AT&T in 2021 to 21 million earlier this year, while Starz, having split from Lionsgate, ended 2025 with 17.6 million subscribers and already has other streaming partnerships, including with Peacock. Executives from Starz, Crunchyroll and Prime Video all framed the move as broadening discovery and reach for their respective content libraries.
