## Summary

Metalcore band Currents have signed with Rise Records and announced their fourth full-length album, *Our Fates Lie In Tandem*, due on 12 February. The release marks the group’s first album in nearly four years and, vocalist Brian Wille says, their most personal work to date, combining social commentary and heartbreak with a broader range of sounds.

The 11-track album was produced by guitarist Chris Wiseman, with additional production by Ricky Armellino and mixing by Jon Dolese. Its first single, “Retributioner”, challenges the idea that people must abandon their principles to succeed. The band says making the record took several years; they begin a European co-headlining tour with ERRA on 2 November, supported by Caskets and Aviana.
