Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the second anime adaptation set in CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 universe, will premiere on Netflix on 30 October, according to a newly released teaser trailer. The follow-up tells an entirely new, self-contained story in Night City rather than continuing directly from the first season, though it shares thematic ground and character archetypes with its predecessor.

The teaser suggests the series will again explore cyberpsychosis, the mental breakdown associated with excessive cybernetic modification, with a new protagonist seemingly documenting the chaos of Night City's streets before evidence is erased by the city's powerful megacorporations. Revenge, cyber modifications and corporate oppression are expected to form the show's thematic core, alongside numerous references to locations, characters and items from the wider game series.
