Polygon has exclusively revealed a new card for the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game featuring Alt Cunningham, one of the most significant and tragic characters from the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. The rare Yellow Unit card, titled "Alt Cunningham: Mother of Daemons," appears in Welcome to Night City, the game's first retail set, and is notable for its powerful defensive abilities that could make it a strong pick for competitive decks. The reveal ties into Alt's in-universe backstory as the netrunner who created the Soulkiller programme, which was later used against her by the Arasaka Corporation, leaving her digitised consciousness trapped within the Net.

In game terms, Alt costs seven Eddies and three Yellow RAM, bringing eight power alongside two synergistic abilities: drawing a card whenever a friendly equipped Unit or Legend is spent, and letting players discard a card to stop a rival from stealing one of their "Gigs" (dice that represent progress towards winning the game). These abilities work particularly well with Yellow's equipment-focused strategy, creating a loop of drawing cards to protect Gigs while spending resources. WeirdCo, the game's publisher, is running demo sessions at Gen Con from 30 July to 2 August, though the listed slots have already sold out.
