## Summary

Cynthia Erivo used her opening monologue while hosting “Saturday Night Live U.K.” to say she dreams of appearing on “The Great British Bake Off” and earning a Hollywood handshake from judge Paul Hollywood. The joke highlighted her confidence as a runner and performer, but her unease about baking under time pressure.

Erivo also spoke about her long nails, which she has had since she was 16, joking that they are practical enough to have replaced cutlery. Imagining herself in the Bake Off tent, she described struggling to make batter and chop butter as the hosts laughed and time ran out. Larry Dean, dressed as Noel Fielding, then reminded her she had 30 seconds left in her monologue.
