## Summary

A Washington state father has responded to a video of him shouting at a Bellevue resident after finding Christian pamphlets in his son’s Halloween treat bag. He said he was upset that religious messages were given to children without parents’ consent and described the neighbours’ approach as “grooming”; the episode has drawn attention to disagreements over religious outreach to children.

The pamphlets included messages about Jesus, a Bible verse, a prayer and a QR code for Bible study. The father acknowledged that he behaved irrationally and said he regretted his outburst, while maintaining that he found the leaflets inappropriate; he also said the argument happened on a public street and involved no threats, injuries or damage.
