Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter slams using AI to create music is “a way to bypass the creative process”
Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk has criticised the use of AI to write music, arguing that it prioritises finished results over the creative journey. He said AI can bypass the experimentation, intuition and spontaneity that he considers central to making original work.

Deezer says AI-generated material now exceeds 50 per cent of its daily uploads, while TIDAL and Spotify have introduced measures against fully AI-made music and spam; a recent German ruling also found Suno infringed music rights held by GEMA.
