Cameroonian-French producer and DJ Tatyana Jane has been named Billboard’s Up-and-Coming Dance Artist of the Month after a rapid rise that has included performing at the Paris Olympics, opening for Justice and collaborating with Skrillex. Her latest EP, Discordia, is presented as the result of a developing sound that combines electronic music with the West African percussion and polyrhythms that shaped her early musical experience.

Jane received intensive private production tuition from Skrillex in Los Angeles in late 2024, studying track construction, sound design, programming, arrangement and bass and percussion techniques. On returning to Paris, she made 50 tracks, some of which appeared on Discordia, released by Ed Banger Records; the release follows years of work to improve her skills while balancing music with raising her three-year-old son.

  • Tatyana Jane’s rise includes Olympics, Justice and Skrillex appearances.
  • Skrillex’s tuition helped inspire 50 new tracks.
  • Her Ed Banger EP blends electronic and West African influences.
