Dan Snaith has released a surprise three-track EP, hav u a sec, under his electronic project Daphni. The release follows his recent Daphni album Butterfly and shows that he is continuing to share new material soon after that record’s completion, including music already tested in live performances.

The EP contains the title track, “Tally” and “Forward”. Snaith first played “hav u a sec” during a set at London’s Corsica Studios in February, and said he wanted to release it because of the positive response it received at shows; the article describes all three tracks as vibrant, while suggesting “Tally” and “Forward” are the stronger songs.
