DARK FUNERAL Is Putting Finishing Touches On Songwriting For ‘Killer’ New Studio Album: ‘I’m So Excited’, Says LORD AHRIMAN
Dark Funeral are nearing the end of writing their next studio album, according to founding guitarist and principal songwriter Lord Ahriman. He said the band is highly enthusiastic about the material, but warned that fans will probably not hear it until 2027; the record will follow 2022’s *We Are The Apocalypse*.
Ahriman also outlined plans for a more ambitious live production during the next touring cycle, aiming to combine the band’s early-1990s black-metal identity with new visual ideas. He said budget limits would constrain the scale of the production, while confirming that Dark Funeral’s live album *A Beast To Praise*, recorded in Stockholm in 2022, is due on 21 August 2026 through Century Media Records.
