DC's animated spin-off film Dynamic Duo has been pushed back from 30 June 2028 to 22 September 2028. The film, which focuses on Dick Grayson and Jason Todd—both of whom have served as Batman's sidekick Robin—will be an animated feature with puppetry elements. This delay gives breathing room for The Batman: Part II, which is scheduled for 18 February 2028, and allows DC to target the back-to-school demographic later in the year.

The film will be directed by Arthur Mintz and animated by Swaybox, a New Orleans-based studio founded by Mintz and Theresa Andersson. Matthew Aldrich, an animation veteran with credits on Coco and Lightyear, has written the script. The project will exist separately from James Gunn's broader DC cinematic universe, meaning it will not tie into other upcoming DC films such as Creature Commandos, Lanterns, or Man of Tomorrow. The delay also allows the film to avoid a release conflict with Paramount's Call of Duty movie.
