## Key points

- Leeds beat Tottenham 1-0.
- De Zerbi focused on Spurs’ performance, not VAR.
- Tel left injured after Bogle’s challenge.

## Summary

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi declined to blame VAR after his side lost 1-0 to Leeds United in the Premier League. He said Tottenham had not played to their capabilities and should focus on improving their performance.

Leeds’ Jayden Bogle was not booked after a VAR review of his challenge on Mathys Tel, who later left the match with an ankle injury. De Zerbi said Tottenham lacked spirit, character and intensity in the second half; Leeds manager Daniel Farke called the injury an unlucky outcome and said Bogle had no bad intention. The win was Leeds’ first league victory since September.
