Dead Poet Society Announce New Album ‘Monarch’

Rock Sound · 3 hours ago

Dead Poet Society have announced their new album 'Monarch', the follow-up to 2024's 'Fission', due for release on 2 October via Spinefarm Records. The announcement gives fans a first look at the record's artwork and full tracklist, alongside a newly released track, giving a sense of the band's musical direction since their last full-length.

The 12-track album includes previously released songs 'Roach' and 'Sinner Systems', plus the newly unveiled track 'Cold', described as a dramatic, building piece of alt-rock. Drummer Will Goodroad said the song explores how people constantly perform for social acceptance, gradually losing touch with their true selves, and how 'Cold' is about acknowledging that reality and choosing to embrace it regardless.
