Deborah Ann Woll Says Tales from Woodcreek Season 2 Is ‘Clue at the Overlook Hotel’

Polygon · 2 hours ago

Deborah Ann Woll and filmmaker Ed Gass-Donnelly are developing a second season of the Dungeons & Dragons actual-play series Tales from Woodcreek, shifting from season one’s haunted colonial village to a 1920s–30s mansion. Woll describes the concept as “Clue at the Overlook Hotel”, suggesting a murder-mystery campaign built around a large, eerie location with hidden passages and environmental puzzles.

The first eight-episode season blended tabletop roleplay with escape-room-style puzzles, historic buildings and rotating guest stars. Season two will centre on a fictional Hollywood-era party hosted by the Bickell Brothers, as previewed in a black-and-white teaser; a Kickstarter is due to launch on 11 August, with production planned for the winter if funding succeeds.
