SOL INVICTO — the cinematic industrial electronic metal side project founded by producer/guitarist Richie Londres with Stephen Carpenter of Deftones and Eric Bobo of Cypress Hill — has released a raw instrumental edition of its debut EP, "Loosely Aware". The band describes this version as stripping the music back to its originally intended, purely instrumental form, which it says is overdue given that SOL INVICTO is at heart an instrumental outfit.

The instrumental edition restores the EP's three core tracks — "The Obvious Play", "Lost In Translation" and "Revelation Of The Method" — to their foundational state, and is being issued exclusively via Subvert, an artist-owned, co-operative music marketplace that charges no platform fees and positions itself against artificially generated music. Londres praised the platform as artist-centric and human-focused. The band is also reworking its original "Initium II" release, with Adrien Contreras of Will Haven now on bass, and is progressing towards a debut full-length album due at a later date.
